Camera #1 - Faces the parking area and the entry walkway, it will be on during your stay. Camera #2 - Faces the boat ramp and dock, it will be on during your stay. Camera #3 - Faces the well pumps, lake and lower patio, it will be on during your stay. No cameras are inside the home, face the hot tub, or face inside the home. Hosts are not responsible for any wildlife encounters your pet may have at the property. All the native Florida wildlife species are represented in this natural habitat area. Water activities of any kind are at your own risk. You may encounter deaf neighborhood dog, "Mask," who just barks to say hi. Exterior lights at night attract all of the lovely Florida flying bugs; limit outdoor lighting use in the warmer months to help prevent pests getting in when doors are opened and closed. A commercial grade bug light is installed in the living room and is on 24/7 to attract and rid of the occasional flying bug that makes it in.

Our neighborhood is made up of mainly retired couples who have come to love this quiet "one red light" old Florida town. The neighborhood is an HOA neighborhood with a fantastic neighborhood watch program. You'll feel very safe as our neighbors often help us keep watch on the house when it's not being rented. You'll find our lake becomes very active on weekends and boats in the boat ramp will line up occasionally as our neighbors enjoy the lake. You’ll be on Lake Grandin, a 400-acre lake with canal access to smaller Lake Clearwater. You’re likely to see sandhill cranes, bald eagles, blue herons, egrets, redtail hawks, wood ducks, and even deer swimming across the lake. Guest Access
You have access to everything in the cottage and on the property except locked bottom cabinets in the laundry room and the owners closet in the entry hallway. Gate code available for private neighborhood boat-ramp access next door, and boats can be tied to Crane Hill Cottage’s dock during your stay. Extra lot available for boat-trailer parking. No fumbling with keys; self-check-in is available with a digital keypad. Onsite, roadside parking in front of the cottage is available for up to 4 vehicles. Not covered, no garage. The gravel parking pad leads to paver walkway to entry. You’ll be on Lake Grandin, a 400-acre lake with canal access to smaller Lake Clearwater. You’re likely to see sandhill cranes, bald eagles, blue herons, egrets, redtail hawks, wood ducks, and even deer swimming across the lake occasionally. See Location tab for more.

Coming into our neighborhood you'll be on a paved road for about a mile that ends at the dirt road (Lake Shore Terrace ) when you turn right from there our cottage is only three homes down on the left on the lake. We have a built up gravel parking pad with space for 4-5 vehicles. Coming to the front door we have a level paver stone walkway that will guide you to the front porch. Walking the neighborhood, exploring the boat ramp dock, visiting the neighborhood swim area or even the community club house are all allowed.
